Try Ctrl S to save your documents - better than going through the menu
File>Save.

DreamweaverMX and Why My Hatred for it Grows

<rant>
On the decidedly _un_grunt box that I use, DWMX is not terribly stable,
but then FlashMX isn't much better.
The help is awful. I want to be able to have my cursor on a cf tag, hit
F1, and be given help on that command. DWMX doesn't do this. It puts you
into a generic document folder and you have to navigate to the
particular command that you want.
There's no Save button on the desktop. When I want to save a document, I
have to go Files/Save, not just hit the save button that Studio had.
Ctrl-3 should put ## around what's highlighted, not make it <h3> like
DWMX does.
Many more keyboard short cuts that Studio had that were immensely useful
for CF code are gone.
The file list mixes files and folders into one confusing box rather than
separating them into a folders pane and a files pane. More unnecessary
confusion!
Sites!!! wtf! I don't want to access my files via a 'site' setting, I
just want to get to the files!!
Saving files to the server and file locking. If you modify a file on the
server and save it, then someone else modifies that file and saves it
(all serial actions, with no overlap) then you open it up again (even
after shutting down DWMX and restarting it) it gives you the same
freaking file that you edited earlier, not the file on the server that
was modified later by someone else, because it now insists on saving all
files locally on your HDD (even if you tell it to deal directly with the
server files), and all it does is just checks to see if you have the
file locally and servers you up that as if it just got it off the
server! Collaborative work without some form of CSV type setup is just
not possible!

Its EVIL I tell ya!!! EVIL, and _no_ good will come from it!!!! You mark
my words!!!!
</rant>

I'm trying to use DWMX. I'm forcing myself to use it, and I don't have
Studio installed, so I can't cheat. I hoped it would grow on my, but its
not. I know I can probably modify setting to change some of these
things, but then why should I have to spend time to make the provided
tool to edit CF capable of adequately edit CF.
It should do all this correctly out of the box, not after spending a
week tinkering with it.
(maybe the rant tags should be around the above paragraph too?!)

That's my 2cents worth.
