When I saw Ian Chia's talkingpolls demo at national CFUG (http://www.talkingpolls.com/abc7lpc/i1.html). I really thought wow - really nice example of an RAI. Mostly this is because it does a complex job through a very simple interface with a minimum amout of fuss.
Remember when someone thought of putting a flash intro on their page - all of a sudden everyone (inlucding us) had one. Slowly they have disappeared as people have realised that these were pointless featurism that did nothing but piss people off after the first 3 goes. I've only really looked at the BT openworld site for about two minutes but I really don't think that it has a particularly good interface. Its kind of like your classic marketing department concept portal page on steriods and acid. I think Ryan's pretty well summed up my take on it. > Don't get me wrong, I've got nothing against RIA's... but just because > you can doesn't always mean you should...
