StructNew() is not redundant in CFMX - it's just that you've got this new "feature", Macromedia still recommend it's use as a best practise.

I've added <cfset thisDb = StructNew()> and <cfset "thisDb.tables[#tableCount#]" = StructNew()> but am still getting the same error.
