Hi Peter, I (along with several colleagues) registered online to attend the Melbourne launch of MX 2004 and even though we arrived in plenty of time, were left standing in a line for 10 minutes before being turned away! Organisers were very reluctant to talk to us waiting in line as they seemed embarrassed at there being no room left. When questioned about the lack of facilities available, we were told that Macromedia allows for a 60% drop out rate of online registrations, which to me begs the question... Why do they accept registrations on the day if they already have more than enough to fill the event in pre-registrations?
I was very upset and disappointed as I've never before been turned away from any launch event and especially wanted to see more of the MX 2004 line to evaluate upgrade possibilities. Just wanted to let you know, you weren't the only Macromedia fan to miss out!
