Kylie, We're very sorry you wern't able to get in to the show - we were taken completely by surprise by the number of people who turned up - it was truly unlike anything we'd seen in the past (which in one sense is very good news for all of us). Unfortunately large numbers of people normally drop out of our launch events without telling us (except in Brisbane for some reason), and we have to plan for this because we just can't afford to (for example) hire a 1,400 seat venue in Melbourne and have it only half full. In the past the drop off rate has been very steady in each city.
As for accepting registrations on the day - we'd advertised that people could do this, and with the planned drop off rate it wouldn't have been an issue. It would have been very unpopular to change this at the last minute. We had considered letting pre-registered people in first and holding back on-the-day registrations, but it was just unpractical (and again would have been wildly unpopular). As it panned out, it was the people arriving in the last 15-20 minutes before the presentation that missed out, and we only became aware of the potential problem as we were taking registrations earlier on the morning. As a result of the Melbourne experience we adjusted our planning for Perth, Brisbane and Auckland. We're only a small team and things like this can happen. Again our apologies.
