Andrew - I'd check out www.mach-ii.com. There a nice framework to learn

The sample apps are not exactly brimming with best practice for the most part (they use 'this' scope and are fairly sloppy about 'var' scope). I've tried to be fairly strict in the MachWiki app but it's such a trivial app I still wouldn't hold it up as a great example really. I'm building a database-driven Mach II application this week that will go into production on macromedia.com next week. I'm currently planning to publish the source code to that as a reasonably small, self-contained database-driven Mach II application.

BTW, I'm hoping to talk at MXDU 2004 about Macromedia's experience with Mach II...
