Grrr... Still no joy. I have even done this (http://www.macromedia.com/support/coldfusion/ts/documents/tn17262.htm#t s_gen) to no avail, and set up the data source in CF to use the root username and password. I still get the same error.
All I can figure is that the db's aren't allowing the user from CF access due to some whacko permissions issue, but I just don't get what that might be. I am getting pretty desperate for ideas.
