Title: XML Searching
Not much info there Barry, but I guess it confirms that indexing can be done with Verity, which sounds like the perfect solution.

I'll have a play around one of these days.

Is there such a thing as indexing XML documents and searching? Sort of like the Verity of coldfusion.
I am aware of XPath but that means opening up every document before searching.

I'd like them to be indexed and then query the collection with XPath or similiar.

Hope it makes sense?

Example;

I have 1000 documents that have the elements

<author>Who ever</author>
<category>What ever</category>

Index these 1000 documents, and then search the collection for all docs that are in category "What ever" or by Author "Who ever"

PS. I know the DTD is missing from the sample ;-))
