Geoff, Completely agree - when we started using CVS I suspected that it may have been overkill as we did not have "multiple" developers (only the two). However, I am eternally grateful that we did for the following reasons: - Automated build -> i.e. checkout nightly to development server - Simpler management of code releases - Ability to work on different computers (Generally work at my desktop but when working from home I update the version on my laptop and keep working) - Generation of changelogs (useful for filling out time sheets) - Another backup of all code. I have found it so useful that I now use it on all projects (even when I'm the only developer) because of all the advantages it brings. Hope this helps persuade some people to try.
