If you have your own boxes, you can co-lo where I do for under
$200/month per RU with 1Gb free (with 2 Nics) in Ulitmo with 24/7 access to
your box at Globalswitch with all the datacentre gadgets and you get to sit
behind a full-service Cisco firewall/anti-intrusion system run by
Australia's largest ISP. It's a shared 100M link, however I've been shown
the usage graphs and it's around 20%.
If you know your way around building a server or two, I can't see a
better option in Australia right now for co-lo.

get an ADSL connection and host it yourself, that's what I do - people say
its unreliable, but the line has only been down once and that was when I
changed line speeds. I'm hosting on CFMX/Apache/MS SQL it works like a
dream, never have to rely on anyone else either...
