Also I don't think you can really say that 256 is enough for 5 clients on a
modem, it doesn't work that way
It does. One modem is about 56K so a 256K link can take 4 or 5 people at
the same time any more than this and it saturated and start to slow down.
Of course most people do read pages in between downloading them so you
could have 30-40 odd active people looking at your sites before things
started to get slow but with this load it would be noticeable at times.
- if it does work that way then hotmail must be hosted on a line with
400 gig bandwidth ;-)
