Sean Not only have people been playing with Flex here in Australia, there are development teams with Flex projects underway right now.

Once you try it out you should see that the postage and handling charge that Macromedia make for the Flex beta is well worth it, and as Geoff said if you're a DevNet subscriber you can download the trail edition directly.
