I agree, I think it has to do with the organisation in question. I know Government departments typically go on a "go-slow" around this time of year, sort of winding down for the year (except TQ i think this is their busy season) yet Web Agencies could get a surge in work due to retial clients needed XYZ for the christmas sales?
I think typically people get into the whole festivities (XMAS work parties are a big distraction). Then there is the whole "waiting for people to get back from annual leave" period or "waiting for a new breathe of fresh air, disecting the year gone by, looking at ways to improve yadda yadda..all that typical business fluff". Thats whats happened in some places i've worked in anyway. Other times its have a holiday, get back, business as usual and keep going. Depends on the nature of the Humans inside the company and the work they produce. Scott Out.
