Brett is correct. The two servers are different and even something as
"simple" as this would be a major issue.
Of course trying to run servers for failover would entail taking this issue
into account.
And MX6.1+ allows this easily. To a degree.
However keep "security" as a priority when distributing applications to the
Internet itself.

Yes, but CF probably isn't running under your logon account. It usually runs
under some kind of system account that doesn't have access to network
resources. You can use the same connection details but if the underlying
account doesn't have access then the connection will fail.
This is my understanding of M$ Windows based systems anyway...
