I guess you have to look at the audience.

1) .NET developers do exist in both CFMX / .NET worlds (ie I've been
as of late in both worlds .NET and MM (cfmx, flash etc). One of our
guys just today coded up a .NET+CFMX app (we have a .NET based
docmanagement application but we have a CFMX front end - turns out
none of the java doco manage tools were to the braintrusts liking?).

2) Flash Developers varey from php, asp, aspx, cfmx, cgi, html etc..
So they have a stake in both worlds. MXDU imho core concept is showing
off the world of Macromedia and all its hooks surrounding it.

3) DW may have a lot of ASP developer base?

4) Broaden your horizons, don't be so quick to close off .NET as a
whole. I'm concerned at those who are in the blind faith (java
worshipers). I'm all for both really, I like working in .NET as it
feels easy in some ways then it would if i were to embark on java?
Microsoft have some nice tools made available - code wise its a bit of
leap (ie i'm talking about VB here.. this = me? wtf?) - but visual
studio is purty.

I dunno, if was allowed to attend tommorow, i would of attended it if
anything to see whats up and how it could relate to any of the
Macromedia range (whether they show me or i conjure it up) - eg
actually is .NET "No Touch Deployment" - if you're not as quick to run
out and by FLEX/FLASH but want a similiar concept that taps into your
strong CFMX backend... its another option?

MXDU = Learnered stuff + Inspiration.

Jeremy: Life is like a box of Chocolates, ya never know what Microsoft
will buy next.

Scott Out.
(MXDU sux!..eheheh..bitter...can't go..must abuse a puppy or something).

P.S
You know god kills a kitten for every hour i don't attend MXDU..for
shame! foooor shammmme!...
