Flex needs to run on a Java server, JRun, Tomcat, Web Sphere etc.

I can't really see why a Flex application shouldn't be able to make calls to
either version of CF via Flash Remoting.

You can download a trial version of Flex that can be tested either on a
bundled version of JRun or on a Java server of your own preference.

I'm running developer editions of CF & Flex  on the developer edition of
JRun on Mac OS without any dramas.
