Well, the 'wish' URL *is* the official channel for submitting
suggestions such as yours and your local contact for feedback on the
server products would be Mark Blair...

This issue of 127.0.0.x IP addresses has been raised before - with the
product team - so they are aware of your request.

However, this sounds like a real world development scenario that
causes you and possibly others a problem that is exactly the sort of
thing Tim Buntel was asking about on his blog:

http://buntel.com/blog/index.cfm?mode=cat&catid=FEA61235-4E22-1671-5E54DAC95FBBDF39

That would be a good way to get a public dialog going on your
suggestion I think.

My own *personal* opinion is: if you're doing sufficient work on
multiple sites that you really require multiple IP addresses, you
should be buying Standard or Enterprise for your development machine.
When I was an independent contractor, I spent thousands of pounds on
software that made my life easier and tens of thousands of pounds on
training and conferences etc. I accepted that as the cost of doing
business.
