The following two configuration changes provide *some* relief:

1. Under Edit -> Preferences -> File Types/ Editors, there is an text box "Open in Code View" ..... add .cfc .cfm to the end of this list.  The downside is the Design View will no longer be available.

2. If you can, keep your site configured as local only (i.e remove any remote, or test server configurations).

The biggest problem dreamweaverMX has, is the handling of big files.
I just opened a cfm file with 2600 lines (100 KB) and waited 2 minutes!!

PC configuration: 1.5 GHz, 512 MB Ram

CFS opened this file in 1 second!

Is this a configuration problem, or is DreamweaverMX really so slow?
