Hi all, To add my pennies to this discussion, I've used the original Homesite, CFStudio, DW3 and DWMX over the last four years. My current favourite is DWMX. Yes it does have a lot of problems, and it's not as stable as CFS or HS, but I love some of the features too much to move back:
1. Easy integration with MS Sourcesafe. This alone won it for me. I love being able to check in and out directly through DWMX. 2. Setting up all my sites in DWMX. When I first used it I thought this was a pain, but after registering all my sites this way, it's really helpful for moving between the sites and it prevents you getting lost in a huge tree view. 3. Using the treeview like File Explorer - add/edit/delete files and folders. 4. The much improved code prompts which support multiple languages (and best of all, style sheets - :o) CFS and HS were great and I still use Homesite+ sometimes, but I wouldn't go back. Having said all this, I was only yesterday moaning about DWMX on the CF UK user group...there's _loads_ of problems to fix. So, it's buggy, but on the whole, I'm happier with it than with CFStudio. (must be the masochist in me :o) Cheers, Douglas ---------------------------------------------------------- You are subscribed to cfcdev.
