Hi.

I can suggest a few books which have proven quite useful and informative for me.

Design Pattens explained: Alan Shalloway, James R. Trott

The Joy of Patterns: Brandon Goldfedder

Building Web Applications with UML: Jim Conallen

Also, check out http://www.gentleware.com and download Poseidon 1.6.1 CE, a community
edition UML tool.

I'd have to comment that UML is pretty much useless unless accompanied by a considered
approach and practice around modeling and object design, which is why the
recommendation of the two design pattern books.

I'm sure I'll have invited a roasting and flaming as a result of that little comment,
but if you're not annoying someone, you're not really alive.

Subject: [CFCDev] [slightly OT] UML primer

I'd like to start to get a basic understanding of the UML for designing CFMX
apps using components. Does anyone have any suggestions for on-line
resources?
