Your right but we also have electronic document management. having those files on a file server where we have regular back ups has been a life saver.

What I have done in the past is have the cfm files on each server in the cluster but have a single file server for document storage (by mapping it as a drive from each clustered server). The site doesn't have a single point of failure at the file server and you can still do regular back ups.
