Thanks Dan THE MAN, for getting back to me, the client just got hosting on
crystaltech because I have asked here in the past, and everyone seems to
swear by them. And I will have to provide this feature for their site.
Now back to the reply, is that it? It looks so simple.... It's like linking
to a PDF file or a zip.

All you really have to do is toss the https:// in front of a URL to kick in
the secure server. The confusing part starts if you have 2 different domains
for your secure server. For example, if you have this setup in IIS, and both
are setup on the same site, you can switch between secure and non-secure
without worry:
http://mydomain.com
https://mydomain.com
If you're using shared SSL, something like this:
http://mydomain.com
https:://securesite.mydomain.com
Then most likely you have 2 distinct site setups in IIS, and the sites can't
share session and cookie information without some additional tweaking of
code. I believe in CF (and I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong,
since I'm uncertain) you can pass the CFID and/or the CFTOKEN between 2
sites on the same server and share session/cookie/client information. If
that's incorrect, someone please do let me know :).
Hope that helps,
Dan
