Hi Camilo,

You got it. I *always* recommend my clients get their own SSL cert, and skip
on CrystalTech's shared SSL for a couple of reasons:

1. Customer confidence: How do I know if I'm still on the right site when
the domain changes from http://mydomain.com/ to
https://ssl6.myhost.com/mydomain/.

2. Ease of maintenance: If you have two different domains to handle, then
you have to manage image paths and all that jazz (if you like root relative
paths like me) separately. You may even end up maintaining 2 copies of the
site if the host doesn't use the same www directory for both sites.

3. Ease of integration: If you have one domain, you manage sessions and
cookies in one spot. No messing with maintaining sessions across
sites/servers.

Also, you can get an SSL cert fairly cheaply, $69 (or less) a year through
some registrars. I set myself up as a reseller at InstantSSL.com and I buy
all of my certs for my clients through there. I can get the cert issues in a
matter of an hour, and I make a few bucks off the transaction...

All in all you've have far fewer headaches if you go with a standard SSL for
your site, and skip on the shared SSL offered by most hosts.

Dan
