I would say specifically no to that. MM have specicially outlined the situation with var'd variables, and written multiple articles on how the scopes are outlined within CFCs.

It is up to the progrmamer to find out whether or not there are issues with multihreaded conditions - I mean, the web is one big multi threaded condition, so if you aren't on the lookout for issues of that sort, where are you going to be looking for them? This isn't a bug - this is just something you have to look out for. Least, that's just my opinion.
