> So... if someone is poor or made a bad decision you think they are basically > trash?
Not at all. You don't know who I am, or my family's background. I'd suggest you not mutate words like this. What I stated is a simple fact: if someone's credit rating cannot support a $5,000 credit line, it is probably not a good idea they look into self employment or beginning a business, as they're playing with a deck heavily stacked against them. That's factual, and has nothing to do with my opinions or what I think of people. > I believe a little compassionate capitalism > would be better served. I wholeheatedly believe in compassionate capitalism. I support companies that follow the model of Ben and Jerry's, not Wal-Mart or Amazon.com. Propping up companies that are statistically likely to fail through poor lending/investing properties is a cruel thing to do to the employees of said company. > Or did you believe if someone has a high credit line that makes them a good > employee? Maybe you meant employer? Wouldn't you rather work for someone that others (creditors) think makes good business decisions? > Well you already stated that you did it without them. Then you say you can > do it with them. Your right! And if more money is what makes you tick... > them choose the road you like. (Someone community oriented like you is > interested in more than money though. You have done many amazing things to > share with us... so I KNOW you see more of a picture than that. Just saying > you aren't stating in context what you truly believe.) I'm stating things exactly as I believe. Yes, I have a community focus. I believe that there's more money to be made working together and improving each other through competition than through being cuttthroat and mean. While I enjoy programming, I do make my living at it - I think I've improved my standard of living more through sharing the tools I've written that I could have by trying to sell them. > Oh... yes there is something WRONG with "putting another shop out > of business"... it's called people. And putting people out of work is not a > good thing! That's a naive rephrasing of what I said. Anyone who's studied the topic knows that churn of the marketplace in terms of business is simply healthy for the greater good. Yes, it sucks for the shop that went under. However, it allows a stronger business to create more jobs. (Please don't go calling more a conservative right-wing bastard, I definitely fall way away from that. Read The Republic and Stranger in a Strange Land if you want to see where I land. This is also not a claim that trickle-down works, or a plug for deregulation, or anything else it's likely to get turned into.) > Do me a favor. Rent "Braveheart" and watch it. When you get > done... figure out why the word "heart" is part of the legends name. All validity in this left the building with Lethal Weapon 4. -- Get Glued!
