> Check out the Plone content management system at plone.org. They have some of the cleanest CSS implementations I've ever seen. Their default portal skin uses a table with three cells to provide "high compatibility" for older browsers (such as NS4) but they also have a tableless skin which should work well in all modern browsers.
There's also a couple of CSS layout galleries around as well :) > CSS based design is the present best practice for html based UI. Ugh to starve off a debate about tables vs css I should really state my position a bit clearer. Sorry... My interest is in building 'Rich Internet Applications', these are characterised by positionable windows, drag/drop functionality, complex UI interactivy etc. I just hate the term RIA hence I usually refer to Web Applications but this is really the catchall for any web content that is dynamically driven. So yeah apologies for not being clear here. Doh doh doh... Of course for traditional webpage apps/sites your HTML should be devoid of inline CSS, structural markup (eg tables etc), and inline javascript. The so called three layers of separation (structural, presentational, and behavioral) have been widely discussed since mid 2004 in web development circles. so yeah, apologies once again for not being clear :( Regards, TiM ---------------------------------------------------------- You are subscribed to cfcdev.
