don't forget...

it was very fast paced when CFC's first became popular and the demand
for help was needed (heck, look at the name) and again when frameworks
started appearing (Mach II then Model-Glue, etc)

but now they've had a good shakedown and all the bolts have been
tightened, there's nothing much to talk about (and even if you don't
use those frameworks, the discussions over CF's version of java
patterns were part of it all)

the same situation exists with more mainstream lists like CFAussie
where the traffic is no where what it was like when CF6 and 6.1 were
released - for the same reasons. CF is a stable and quality product,
the bulk of the issues have been sorted and the solutions can be found
in the archives.

additionally, new specialist lists have sprung up that have
"encroached" in much the same way this list did when it first started:
reactor, transfer, etc. And other diversions like Flex, etc.

Perhaps - [at a guess ;-) eh?] - when CF8 gets released new issues
will be raised that will generate new traffic. You don't get much to
say when it's all quiet on the Western Front.

We could always revisit the thorny subject of interfaces... or do some
"Barnes-storming" about Microsoft or something...

The CFDev list has never really been a high traffic list, nowhere near
other lists such as CF-Talk. While I've complained about the spam on
the list, I have not noticed anything lately. Instead I've thought
that the list has become quite valuable, the last few topics have been
very useful.
