Even then, if you really wanted, you could have your code use the same name as the DB. I assumed a new project was being discussed, since it was about using a previously unused framework, which of course is not always the case, but usually is. That said, I would think cfwheels gives you the choice to change column names in the models. I think it's using one of the CF ORMs (not its own home-grown solution) though I could be mistaken. What other situations can you not name the columns the same as the code?
