I tried putting “sa” into the username and password fields, but it still didn’t verify.  This was under the CF Settings (Advanced) of the database in Administrator.

After updating I returned to the database profile and checked the CF settings… “sa” remained in the username field, but the password had changed to a password with more than 2 characters????

Hmmmm…..

I think you need to put in the default username and password for SQL databases.  If I remember correctly it is "sa"

Subject: [CFTALKTor] SQL Database Activation

Hi everyone,

This may be a basic question for most of you, but I am trying to setup my first SQL server database within Cold Fusion Administrator.  I have setup MS Access D-bases before with CF Administrator, but I’m a newbie to SQL server.  I am using CF 5.0 on Windows 2000.

Using the SQL server driver, I setup the following:

DSN Name:  MyDatabase

Server:  (Local)

Login Info:  MyDatabase.MDF

When I select Create or Update, it tells me that it cannot verify the database.  Can anyone suggest what is wrong, or direct me to a resource that is CF and SQL specific?

Much thanks.
