DTS (Data Transformation Services) for SQL-Server allows the creation of
'packages' that are essentially automated scripts and processes that can
extract data from several sources, transform data suitable for destination
tables. It is a powerful interface tool that was heretofore only available
from 3rd parties. Microsoft has included this functionality in recent
versions of SQL-Server. DTS does require ODBC, file, or other driver (ie:
sql*net) access to the datasource and destination.
