I agree,

I would also like to add that we should stick with the name you choose here. As was mentioned before, we don't want it to be known as the "Framework that keeps changing its name."

Thanks for all the work on the framework.

Still, I'm also OK with Titanium and it has been in use some. On the
other hand, a major marketing push and most of the users of this
framework still lie ahead of, and may not know of it at all, so now is
better than later if there's going to be name change.

So, shall I set up a poll for Titanium vs. Mantle ? Other naming feedback?
Do we have to do this? We've already done a re-branding recently with
Titanium - why go through it again, unless there is a candidate which is
clearly better, which so far I'm unconvinced. What is the wider
community to make of it - "the Perl framework that keeps changing its
name"? Agreed the new site design looks good, but trying and find a new
brand name just to match the design seems inappropriate.

Mantle:
* "A loose sleeveless coat worn over outer garments; a cloak".
* "Something that covers, envelops, or conceals".
* "The mantle (also known by the Latin word pallium, adjective pallial)
is a significant part of the anatomy of molluscs".

I vote we stick with Titanium.

Seems like Richard is saying "we want Mark to set up a poll" ;-)

So, set up a poll, or, even better, choose whatever name you fancy and
use that. Mark, this is your project... you made it, so you get the
prerogative to decide whatever you want to call it. You can call it
foobar or you can call it the "Hope Diamond Framework." In the end,
all that matters is that you don't step on anyone else's intellectual
property, and that the framework is good, easy, powerful, fast, and is
adopted.

No matter what you choose, someone will disagree and someone else will
agree. So, go ahead and choose "Mantle." :-) Just kidding... set up a
poll, or choose unilaterally... either way it is your call. Don't ask
the peanut gallery as we will always have peanuts.
