The localization information from Chandler can be used to update/modify the localized text that is stored internally within parsedatetime.

This will allow the text to be parsed properly even if parsedatetime doesn't have the locale defined internally.

So, yea, looking forward to the wiki update ;)

Hello,
I added a Localizing DateTime Parsing header to the wiki:

When you get a chance can you add to the wiki detailed information on how the
DateTime parsing module handles localized parsing.

Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian,

How do the other natural language strings such as "dinner" get localized?

I have created a dictionary of all the single word natural language strings recognized by parsedatetime mapped to the localised version of those strings like {'Dinner':_(u'dinner'), 'Lunch':_(u'lunch')...}. I match the localized string and then use the English version for parsing which parsedatetime already knows how to parse.

Is this localization of natural language strings documented anywhere such as Wiki?
I havent documented this on the Wiki yet :(

Bye,
Darshana
