That'll get you the ISO CD, I'm talking about the DVD, a 4.23 Gb download.
Yep the Ubuntu DVDs usually contain both installer modes.
BTW, to upgrade my Ubuntu boxes and VM I just edited
/etc/apt/sources.list and then ran
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
and let it run. No need to download media unless you want to do fresh
installs, have bandwidth limitations, or have to upgrade a bunch of them.
I'm using VMware Fusion and had no problems with getting the
vmware-tools running in Gutsy once I got the right kernel package
installed that matched the kernel sources package. I just reran the
tools config script and it built new kernel modules for me.
