Hi Brian,

Seems to me that flagging has a more "lightweight" feeling than dragging to a folder. It is only one click, and you have visual feedback in your inbox that the item was flagged.

fwiw, I think it would be an improvement for me personally as a user for getting messages from my inbox into Chandler. Losing the folder trick for stamping-as-event would be worth the flagging affordances.

It doesn't have various other advantages that a full Tbird plugin has, but would work from multiple mail clients.

Cheers,
Katie

Hi Mimi,
Yes it would be possible to add this additional functionality. Although
I question whether it would be needed since Chandler Folders
can be used to do the same thing with more granularity.

Can you describe further your thought process
for this new feature.

Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian,

I had a quick question. Currently we download all messages in your INBOX with Chandler headers, meaning all messages sent from other Chandler clients.

Can we do the same for all 'flagged' messages as well? This would be a way to simulate the proposed Tbird plug-in experience, but would work for anyone using any client so long as they had an IMAP account.

I think it would simply involve adding 2 checkboxes in the Incoming Mail account dialog to:
[ x ] Download messages sent from other Chandler Desktops
[ x ] Download flagged messages
