I've run into that d-click issue in the calendar canvas and in the table view. I miss being able to double-click an item in the calendar or the table to edit the item's title. I've had to adjust, or rather I'm in the process of adjusting, my behavior. I'd be happy to "unadjust".

I think that's a good idea, that is, to leave d-click alone. Either that or, speaking as a Windows user, consider assigning to the F2 key the function of putting the title into the edit mode, similar to what occurs in Microsoft Excel and other apps. I don't know what the equivalent Mac or Linux function is.

Today I d-clicked on an event lozenge to edit it and I got an independent detail view instead. While I think d-click on an item in the List View is relatively rare (except for users who know you can d-click on the Triage Status), d-click on events in the calendar is pretty standard.

(My bad, I forgot about that case.)

Has anyone else run into this? How bad is this? Perhaps we need to just suck it up and a button to the top of the detail view to make an independent window and leave d-click alone.
