What about those plastic electric boxes similar to phone boxes? They are the perfect size.
As for running a router in your car, how do you plan on powering it? I hope not by your battery. I run an inverter with psone 5 inch lcd modded and a way overpowered computer with gps and a 200mw senao card : \ and have problems with the inverter overloading due to voltage dropping too low coming from the battery. I'm sure the problem will be solved when i get a less powerful motherboard.
