I could do without VB's gui complexities. But I would love having access to a mechanism which lets me throw guis together quickly (perhaps like K). J's wd is a solid technology, perhaps somewhat reminiscent of html. But we do not have enough textual tools to make manipulating wd scripts easy (and easy to understand) from within J. And the commands are "side-effect oriented", perhaps because of the nature of i/o, which detracts from J's strengths. I think we need more thought and/or efforts here. -- Raul ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
