Here in Toronto, it has been a couple of years since one could even
source a 32-bit x86, if shopping for new. While I jumped on the
64-bit operating systems for server work, as a user of linux on my
personal desktop, I hesitated on installing the 64-bit builds for my
own computer until the multimedia codecs caught up, but I stopped
worrying about that a couple of years ago.
