You are probably misunderstanding. Of course the lines/verbs/etc are in text and should remain so.
The connections between verbs in a system call trees and so on could be displayed graphically like a mind map so sometimes most of the texts could be hidden in bubbles and somtimes opened for viewing/editing like a html popup.
