Hi Dave,
Thanks for the patch. Unfortunately, it breaks other URLs. If the original URL 
already has encoded parameters, they are now encoded twice but only decoded 
once.

Could you provide an example of a link that fails for you? I'll try to find a 
solution that covers both cases.
