IMO, it'd be good to know -for instance- the total number of downloads, although as long as there are many organizations (mirrors, Debian, etc) distributing the sources, there is no way to know it. It would be also good to know how we do with the global deployment, but we already got Netcraft (*1) for that. So, unless someone comes up with a good reason for putting it in place, I wouldn't add it. 1.- By the way. Do you guys know of some Netcraft competitor? Anyone want to comment on this? I like the idea of supporting comments on the documentation pages. Though, I'm quite afraid of the whole lot of work that fighting the spammer herds would require us. We have had a few really bad experiences in the past (with forums, trac and bugzilla).
