The ubuntu packages has libavformat-dev as a depend but at compile time FFMpeg support gets disabled. This is for the old libformatav version So if I make a new streaming package I still need the new libavformat or make a modification in the configure stage so this package gets the old libavformat and FFMpeg support enabled Pythonic something like : if oldavformat: avformat = 'ffmpeg/libavformat.h' else: avformat = 'avformat/libavformat.h' But in the configure.in or somewhere else.. > >> and .. for those about to rock ..
