I think we need to step up replicating whatever load/performance tests
anyone tries and see if indeed the numbers are fact or fiction and
determine where Cherokee is indeed the fastest and where we might look
at getting even more performance out of Cherokee. Claiming to be the
fastest web server leaves Cherokee open to these sorts of flame wars
and will result in the increase of people bring different numbers our
way disputing this claim.

We can call someone lame or demean them all we want -- but this
generally makes the community look disorganized and certain people
seem sharp tongued. We aren't going to gain more converts and bring
more energy to Cherokee by insulting anyone. We all have our own
individual ways we use Cherokee. Someone might have a good enough
reason to test on localhost. Numbers are numbers...

Anyone want to form a testing group to put Cherokee and other web
servers through the paces when someone submits a new performance
claim?
