You certainly should be responding to this thread. Unless I am
mistaken ( quite possible ) you are not just a gifted open source
programmer, you are also a businessman. Your reply seems to condone
the hateful tone
of yon foul mouthed elitist.

2 questions from me then, as a consumer of your product. I refer to
myself as a consumer to eliminate the elitism that seems to be
creeping into this discussion. As a consumer, I prefer your product.
As a consumer, I have wondered about the validity of your benchmark
numbers however. So:

1. Cherokee has changed a lot since the last benchmarks. It certainly is
conceivable that things may have changed. It certainly is possible
that nginx got faster,
etc. When do you plan to put all conversations like this to the cold
grave they belong in by demonstrating _in
a repeatable fashion_ that this is the case?

We would all like to drink deeply from the accumulated wisdom of our
betters. After all, we may all not be highly respected members of the open
source community, but surely at least some of us, umm, consumers of your
product, are able to follow instructions, even fairly complex ones, and do
our own repeatable tests. Perhaps David can assist you ( again? ) in this
matter. After all, you probably are busy So:

2. How is this benchmarking to be done? I realize that it is a lot to
ask of you to provide, or arrange to have provided information on
doing independent, repeatable tests, but I would be remiss not to take
this opportunity to increase my , nay, our collective knowledge
from heroes of the open source revolution.

As I said before, my own tests found that the memory saving of cherokee, and
the brilliant, brilliant , brilliant admin is enough for me to use your
product. Kudos for that!
