Have you checked for a blocked passage on the exhaust crossover section in
the intake manifold? this helps to heat up the carb and choke. Also, be
certain that the butterfly valve on the exhaust is working and not frozen
in one position and preventing the carb from heating up or worse, getting
too hot.
