Well since we are diagnosing engine problems i figured i would throw mine in
there. I have a built 454 and a new MSD ignition. Around 3000 rpms it will
start to slightly miss, not enough to give any loss of power but it is
easily heard. It doesnt happen before 3000 rpm nor under WOT. I dont
remember it doing this before the new ignition system so could this be a
timing issue. I had the complete MSD ignition systme put in by a mechanic
(dont laugh i know how just didnt have time with work and all) and he set
the timing for me. He said to try and change the spark plugs which i did
(although the plugs only had about 50 miles on them but they looked
horrible...maybe because of me repeatily trying to crank it when diagnosing
the ignition problem). So put in AutoLite plugs...nothing special... and it
still does the same thing. Do i need to get plugs i can gap or what going
on here.
Thanks
Michael

P.S. I just got an email stating that everything
www.performancesuspension.com has is on sale for 10% off till i think like
