HI Mark,
I.ve cut coils on all my cars, and I am very happy
with the results (i learnt it the hard way).
Dont think in coils, think in inches.
the ratio of the spring is around 2:1, that means that
if you cut one inch of your springs it will lower the
car approx 2 inches.
The actual amount will be a little bit less because
the spring will be shorter.
Shorter springs are more stiff, less coils=stiffer
spring (even if the lenght of the coil and the
diameter are the same).
I would suggest you cutting 3/4", and your result
should be around 1"-1 1/2".
Dont cut to much, it will look really cool, but it
will be handling really bad.
