I have also come to the sad realization that you cann't tell people what you
want done and how you want it done. Now if you stood over thier back all
day long you just might get it done the way you want it done. Personally I
like the idea of "stealing" your car back and wait for the guy to get at the
shop then call and ask how the car is coming. I am sure you could do the
carb swap yourself, I am by no means anything close to a good mechanic (I
can make it run, running right and just running are two different things for
me) and I have performed many carb swaps myself, it is most of the time an
on/off/on procedure and if it is a new carb, it works great right out of the
box, just follow the idiot proof directions and you are set, then have one
of your good tuning buddys to get it all set right. You will have alot more
sense of accomplishment knowing you did it yourself...... no matter how
bloody your knuckles end up ;-)
