It's
not an option but a piece of standard equipment for my year that I think is hard
to find. 1969 SS396's had the 3 speed Muncie MC1 as the base model trans. My car
still has it. I think most that did have long since been removed and replaced
with a 4 speed. The auto trans and 4 speeds where all options. By doing a
number calculation ( be awhile ago so going by a bad memory) I figured
about 2700 where built. Add to this my car is a bench seat car and does not
have power steering, I believe I have a hard to find NO Option car or price
leader car. I don't think there very many of them built.
