I posted a question earlier about this car and it's price, (see below). But
more importantly is the question of whether the transmission linkage likely
just needs an adjustment, or is there a potential bigger problem. It pops out
of 2nd and 4th gear.
Don't know which tranny it is but it's a Hurst shifter. Thanks guys. BTW, no
one responded to my previous post, listed below.

'69 El Camino

paint department, needs new bucket seat covers badly, but has all the gauges
and factory air outlets, no pump though, or condenser, etc. The headliner's
good, the dash is nice and there's no window rust. The engine is a big block
that's supposed to be a 427 in what was originally a 396 car. It's a four
speed and the linkage needs adjusting as it'll pop out of 4th and 2nd gears.
Some of the chrome is gone around the hood, but the body only has a couple of
small, less than a foot in diameter bondo spots. The usual front fender rust
is there at the bottom near the doors. The tires look fair and the rims are
chrome rally's. So, what would you say this is worth, remembering it's in the
South bay area of the Bay Area San Francisco. Oh yeah, the exhaust is
relatively new and it's got a 12 bolt rear end.
Any help would be appreciated.
